3 days! 2000 visitors! 96 exhibitors! Over 450 registered visitors and 1 booth. The Buildmacex 2015 tradeshow has indeed come and gone but the memories are here to stay.We will firstly like to thank everyone that participated in this event and most importantly visitors who found time to visit our inspiring booth.

Our goal for attending this tradeshow was primarily to meet people (architects, builders, property developers, mechanical and electrical consultants etc.), educate them of all the possibilities and also keep in touch to remind them of our services even way after the exhibition was over. Bearing this in mind, the challenge was how we were going to fit all we did into a 12 square meter booth. Our special design team had come together to analyse this and we came up with a robust system that could showcase our services as much as possible within the given space.

At the end, we were able to showcase a distributed audio system using Russound, a distributed HD video system using Wyrestorm, lighting control with the Philips Hue smart bulbs, intelligent shading with the Lutron Honeycomb Triathlon Cellular shades, IP surveillance with Lilin fixed dome cameras, wired and wireless data network using Pakedge switches, routers and wireless access points; Surge protection and power conditioning using SurgeX power conditioner, equipment racking from Cineracks, various loudspeaker ranges from in-ceiling by Russound, sound bars from Artcoustics speakers and luxury floor standing speakers from Meridian Audio, Most Importantly integration of all the subsystems was done by a Control4 HC-800 controller. With Control4, we were able to showcase various control interfaces such as the on-screen TV control, wall mount, table top controls and also controls on smartphones and tablets.

And of course our wall of fame! All through the exhibition, we kept the buzz going on social media by personalizing the visit of everyone that came to our booth. We did this by having visitors sign on a huge wall while we took their pictures, contacts and posted these pictures on social media. At the end we got over a 150 signatures and hope to continue the conversation on all our social media platforms(@wse_ng).

We also had our own Olayinka Odejayi give a presentation during the event titled “Technology, Future Trends, and the Nigerian Lifestyle.” He discussed the various ways technology impacts people’s lives especially in construction, the limitations especially in the Nigerian context and how to surmount these limitations. At the end, he had an interactive question and answer session where the audience raised interesting and engaging questions which were all answered perfectly by him. He ended with a loud standing ovation from the crowd and had the entire audience follow him to our booth.

Again we will like to thank everyone that worked hard to make this a success and also every single one that visited our booth. We are certain you were inspired by what you had seen and look forward to future engagements with you.
